Chamomile Baths
For skin relief
I use these chamomile baths with my children. I do not claim to be a medical doctor and only am sharing my personal opinion.
Attached are a few affiliate links, I make a very small percentage off the purchase, and you do not pay anything more. Cheers!
Why is chamomile is so great?
Chamomile is a pretty amazing herb. It is known to relieve irritability in children. It also helps induce sleep. A study in 1993 from Germany using chamomile and a few other herbs eased colic in infants. I love chamomile so much, because kids usually love it too.
Did you know?
The key actions of chamomile are anti-inflammatory, antiallergenic, and relaxant which are a perfect combination for a child suffering from eczema. I would use chamomile baths almost nightly for my little man when he suffered from eczema. It really lowered the inflammation on the skin and helped him relax to sleep for a little while.

Bulk Herb
Dried flower
What I Buy
Tea Bags
These can be used instead of the bulk dried flowers. End up costing more, but the clean up is easier
Tincture
I do not use this in the bath, but do use with my children, occasionally. It is alcohol based, so keep that in mind with kids.
Why & how I used the Chamomile Baths
After spending months trying to find relief for my son's eczema. I stumbled upon a site talking about chamomile. I know how much my kids loved drinking the tea, so I thought why not see if a bath may help. So I made a pretty weak infusion and bathed my son in the water. At first I just soaked a cloth in the tea and wiped it on his skin. Later I created much stronger infusions and added right to the bath. This was always a huge help when he was especially itchy. His skin was always less inflamed and red after the bath. The chamomile also creates a calm baby. He always slept well for a few hours after a chamomile bath. I would love to know if you have tried one!
